Renault Kiger, The Perfect Drive for Idols SA Winner

Leading up to the finals and announcement of the official winner for the coveted prize in this year’s Idols SA Season 17, we spent a day with the Top 4 showstoppers in the running for the competition. 

Each contestant stepped into the all-new Renault Kiger, which the winner was afforded the opportunity to drive away with, they all have personalities matching the exciting and picturesque features of the car.

The Idols SA Season 17 Top 4 consisted of:

BERENIKE ‘BERRY’ TRYTSMAN

Berry was crowned the official winner for this season of the competition announced on Sunday, 21 November 2021. The Cape Town born star walks away with a recording deal with KalawaJazmee Records, a Renault Kiger valued at over R269,000,R100,000 in Truworths fashion vouchers, a bachelor of business administration bursary valued at over R260,000 from RegenesysBusiness School, an R85,000 worth of musical equipment from Yamaha, as well as a Samsung Galaxy ZFold 3 on a Vodacom Red 100GB plan.

 S’THUTHUKILE LANGA 

 A 21 year old from Pietermaritzburg, KZN who also made the cut all the way to the Top 3. Her favourite feature about the Renault Kiger is the attractive styling of the car, she says that as a young person she enjoys the way in which the car is eye-catching and would definitely love to own one.

KEVIN MADUNA 

Kevin is a stylish singer with charisma that has won many South African viewer’s hearts throughout the competition but the competition was quite tight, seeing him out of the competition at Top 4. 

He says that the Renault Kiger matches his style but enjoys that it has safety features which include safety parking sensors that he wouldn’t have to worry much about as he sings along to his favourite artist playing in the car.

KARABO MATHE

Karabo has an artistic quality that cannot be ignored, she sang her way to the top 2 singing head to head with Berry in the competition. She received many standing ovations while on the competition and subsequently won hearts of many South African households while in the competition. Karabo says that the Renault Kiger looks like a really fun drive while seated with grace on the driver’s seat in admiration.
