Heritage month provides an opportunity for the nation to embrace our diverse culture and heritage. Tastic Rice has embarked on a national campaign with iconic women to honour unsung heroines for the month of September. This month also signifies a key milestone for the brand as it celebrates 60 years of perfect partnerships with its consumers and the women of South Africa.

The brand has partnered with iconic women like Noxolo Grootboom, Basetsana Kumalo, Dudu Khoza and PJ Powers, who embody the spirit of generosity through their love, commitment and scarifies both seen and unseen from being at the heart of building homes, communities and unifiers of our great nation.

Dudu Khoza has lent her time to anchoring the Durban edition which is built across the principles of giving back in a manner that brings people together. This was done through an celebratory dinner that honoured the many unsung heroines who pioneer the everyday struggles to make their communities a better place and a Tastic Rice ATM in Umlazi.

“Heritage to us is the spirit of Ubuntu and nothing represents this true generosity and sacrifice quite like the South African women. As a brand with generosity at its core, we are honoured to be able to give unsung heroines the recognition they deserve through little acts of kindness to aid them in continuing the phenomenal work that they do ” – Thembi Sehloho, Marketing Director for Rice and Pasta at Tiger Brands.

Sibongile MaSithole Msomi runs the Siyanakekela We Care Rehabilitation Centre which aims to empower the community by dedicating themselves to helping orphaned children, providing counselling services for the youth, HIV/AIDS care and support programmes.
