Luxity, South Africa’s most trusted luxury reseller is celebrating five years of business with the opening of two luxurious new stores. Proving that sustainability is at the heart of luxury, Luxitymakes high-value designer items from brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, Hermès and Prada, accessible through its unique omni-channel position, retailing authentic, pre-owned luxury items that are in immaculate condition.

The two new boutique stores are situated in Nelson Mandela Square, in the Sandton CBD, and in the recently developed Menlyn Maine shopping precinct, in Pretoria. However, as co-Founder Michael Zahariev explains, “These stores will not replace the online shopping service that made Luxity famous. They will simply enhance the shopping experience by enabling consumers to collect or drop off their luxury goods or to come browse our collection in a magnificent environment with other benefits such as complimentary hospitality which includes the likes of bubbly and chocolates in the lounge areas, and attentive service by staff” he said.

The Luxity store at Melrose Arch was moved to the larger store in Nelson Mandela Square, while the boutique in the Cape Quarter Lifestyle Village remains a destination for luxury lovers in the Western Cape.

All of the Luxity stores are also destination points where luxury goods owners can come to sell their pre-owned designer items, provided they are in great condition. All items get inspected by Luxity’s team of experts qualified to do the authentication process that is required and sellers can expect an offer sent to them within two business days. Customers can also request for a particular item/s that they have spotted online to be sent to a specific store where they can come in for a closer look.

For those not in the know, Luxity offers a unique digital shopping experience. New items are loaded onto the website every day at 11:00am (SAST). Therefore, this is the best time to hop online and view the newest one-of-a-kind items that are available. Furthermore, Luxity enables customers to reserve items for 25% of the price, with an additional two month window to complete the full payment, using their interest-free reservation system. The various ordering options include via WhatsApp, email, online or over the phone with a personal sales assistant.

“There has never been a better time to enjoy designer brands in South Africa” explains Zahariev. “Our collection of exquisite, unique items keeps expanding and our reservation system makes it easy to secure an item that you spot online. The stores are there to complete your enjoyment of securing what we know will become a treasured item, or to browse our collections anytime” explains Zahariev. “What’s more, we’d love to help you clean out your luxury closet so that you can make space for beautiful new additions” he added.

Conceived five years ago by Zahariev and business partner Luke Calitz, Luxity was inspired by the potential to fulfil the passions of stylish South African women, who value designer collectibles. Through its unique position in the market and unrivalled prowess to source and authenticate the most highly prized pre-loved owned bags, shoes and accessories, the retailer now enables men and women alike to fulfil the deep desire they have for designer labels. New offerings include pieces desired by men, such as pens and watches from designer collections such as Montblanc and Rolex. Luxity also caters for those seeking accessories from designer brands that are not available in South Africa, such as Chanel, Hermès or Prada, that closed last year.

As Luxity continues to embrace the digital environment and promote the concept of sustainable luxury, the company’s dynamic vision is to keep innovating. “Over the years, we have helped South Africans enjoy magnificent, authenticated designer items and we plan to keep taking that further” says co-founder Luke Calitz. “Luxity’s vision is driven by making unforgettable pieces available to new generations in a way that is not only progressive, but good for our beautiful planet too” he added.
