Johannesburg is gearing up for its latest fitness phenomenon called, The Fitness Market. The inaugural event which is set to take place on Saturday 21 March 2020 at Hyde Park Corner rooftop aims to bring a fun twist to its participant’s workouts.
The Fitness Market will be hosted by a team of professionals lead by Thato Manaka (@Sir_Pursuefitness) and Tidimalo Sehlako (@Tidimalo_S). Both have a wealth of experience in dealing in the health and well-being industry and are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with others. Thato has been successfully running his own events company called SWT Productions for the past 11 years. On top of that he holds fitness classes at Virgin Active gyms in Bryanston and Morningside. Tidimalo is a former Miss South Africa finalist and BET presenter. She has also played pivotal roles at various corporate companies as a model for campaigns as well as a communications manager for others. Although, her passion for health and fitness lies in yoga as she a sort-after instructor. Her love for this form of exercise has led her to becoming a Cotton On Body influencer and then for a United Nations Foundation initiative ambassador.
The Fitness Market aims to create a buzz around personal health while aligning the narrative to Gender Based Violence. Self-defense session; kick and boxing are some of the various classes the trained and experienced instructors will take the participants through.

A number of stalls have already signed up to display their health and fitness related products (Herbalife, Mxd Rce Apparels, Golden Mmele mobile Spa; Mrs Mome Wellness) which will definitely add to the atmosphere on the day. The program is packed with various workout lessons for the whole family and is set to improve the wellness of all those in attendance not just on the day, but to equip them to live a healthy lifestyle. The event starts from 8am and the entry fee is R150 for adults and R80 for children under the age of 11. A few surprise acts have been booked for the day too.
